Kabelo Tswai, who goes by tswai, is a multi-talented artist hailing from Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga. He is a singer, songwriter, engineer, and producer, with a sound that blends cross-genre elements with classic pop heartbreak love vibes.

In 2018, Tswai made his debut with the release of his first solo independent EP, FAiRYTALES, followed by the music video for his song “LookAROUND.” The same year, he featured on the viral Soundcloud track “Porsche” from YVNG ENZA’s album “F.B.I.” The following year, Tswai released his sophomore extended plays project, Lemonade & DiRTYSPRiTE. In 2019, he signed with Tic Tic Bang and released “Random Thoughts” on Soundcloud, which quickly amassed over ten thousand plays. Later that year, he dropped his first single under a trap record label, “I Feel a Little Nasty.”

During the pandemic, Tswai continued to release a string of singles, including “chasing more.,” “sometimes.,” “limitations.,” and the “FAIRYTALES II – EP” with the lead single “dark days.” In March 2021, he released the song “have you been in the closet crying” an alternative pop record that peaked at number 4 on the 5FM pop chart, spending two months in the top 10. He followed up with the somber and moody “kid again.” on April 30, 2021.

On July 11, 2021, Tswai released the alternative pop track “touch the sky.”, debuting at number 7 on the 5FM pop chart and spending two weeks there. He later dropped his second extended plays project, the SAD playlist, on October 29, 2021.

Tswai’s unique sound, combined with his diverse skill set, has gained him a loyal following and established him as a rising star in the South African music scene.
